Up-cycled sweater into a Crocheted Scarf

Hello crafty people or just people surfing the internet.

Since I was about nine knitting or crocheting has always been something that I've enjoyed to do.  It is such a magical thing.  I am always looking for new creative ideas and my mom knew I am into up-cycling and she had the idea to unravel a used sweater and re-knit or crochet it.  I really was intrigued by this idea and immediately bought a sweater from my favorite thrift store-Good-Will.  The unraveling of the sweater was actually a fun event and crocheting the scarf was even cooler.  Below are before and after photos.

I can't wait to buy more sweaters and make, hats, scarves, legwarmers and handwarmers.

Have a super day :)

Vintage is a source of art.

Vintage clothing has always been a high priority in my life.  Vintage items hold such mystery because the clothes either fit someone perfect or looks straight up horrible.  Vintage clothes can also be added to today wear and look completely fun and edgy.  Up-cycling vintage clothes is also very fun.  Recently I have taken a fake vintage leather jacket and am making hair accessories and journals out of it. The opportunities are endless.

Below are two vintage dresses that appear ugly but once on don't look to bad, and are super fun to wear.

Vintage is the door to the past and to the future. Open it and find the adventure that awaits you :)

Have a great day..

Scarves made from T-shirts

Good Morning Sunshines!

Up-cycling t-shirts into a variety of items has been my therapy lately.  T-shirts are so simply and fun to work with and are open to new ideas and a million things to make.  I've been mostly focusing on making scarves out of t-shirts.  I keep coming up with many new ideas. Below are a few I have constructed.

I am open for people to share what they have made from t-shirts, or even give me ideas to work with...

Have a nice day!

Until next time,

Up-cycled Hair Clips

After seeing some bow clips at the store I got the idea to try these myself.  I am really into up-cycling, so I used old t-shirts to make some bow clips and a rossette. They are very fun and simple to make, though add such a nice touch of excitement to ones hair and outfit. Here is a view at some of the clips I made this nice evening.

Have a spectacular night!

Much Joy,
